Informal BBQ, Saturday 19th May, 7:00pm

To make use of the good weather forecast, I’m planning to hold an informal ”bring your own food & drink” barbeque on Saturday 19th May, 7:00pm at the Clubhouse.  If you’re free on Saturday evening, just come along with your own choice of food & refreshment, and have a chat in the hopefully warm evening sunshine!

Royal Forth Yacht Club – Anniversary Cruise in Company, July 2018

As part of its 150th Anniversary celebrations, RFYC is holding a cruise in company from Granton to Inverness. The cruise is planned to start on Sunday 1st July taking 4-5 days to get to Inverness. From there, some boats are intending to go on to the West Coast via the Caledonian Canal, others will go further north, and the remainder will cruise back to the Forth. We would like to invite boats from other clubs on the Forth to join us. Also, some boats will be looking for crew for both the initial cruise and their onward journey, and any sailor looking to join us would be welcome. If anyone is interested in taking part, or would like to find out more about our plans, please contact John Robertson (john.p.robertson@btinternet.com)

Skiff Rowing on Saturday

Weather permitting Skiff rowing from 10 am on Saturday 28th April. There are dolphins out there!! we might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a pod. Sometimes they come quite close to the skiff and it is amazing!! Depending on numbers and weather and given that everyone is improving we should start thinking about a longer row towards St Monans, which will also help to “up our fitness”
